Apex International, global leader in anilox, metering, and embossing solutions, is proud to announce the appointment of Marian Waterschoot as the new Director of Apex Embossing B.V.. As the current CEO of Apex International, Marian will be succeeded by Ruud van Cuijk as she moves into her new role in the embossing industry, beginning May 1, 2023.

Hapert, the Netherlands — Apex International, global leader in anilox, metering, and embossing solutions, is proud to announce the appointment of Ruud van Cuijk as the new Chief Executive Officer.  Ruud has played an integral role in the executive leadership team at Apex International for the past 10 years and will move into the company’s CEO position – effective May 1, 2023. Ruud will succeed Marian Waterschoot, who will remain with the company as the new Director of Apex Embossing B.V.

Ruud van Cuijk was born and raised in the South of the Netherlands, with humble roots and a strong work ethic. The new CEO holds a master’s degree in international business from Tilburg University, and a master’s degree in finance & control from TIAS Business School. He began his leadership career in the banking industry as an international management trainee and held various leadership roles within retail banking. In 2010, he joined the largest Dutch organization for labor market participation, leading over 800 employees as Business Unit Manager.

In the winter of 2022, Apex Europe welcomed over 130 people in printing and packaging to their in-house auditorium for the industry favorite Apex LIVE Anilox seminar.

Nashik, India - The FlexoKITE Technology Center, located at the Apex International manufacturing facility at Nashik, organized an open house on August 26 which focused on “Flexo Simplified with ECG.” It was a closed event with label customers across India, especially from western region of the country. The center is managed by Apex International together with its partners Avery Dennison, Bobst, Cosmo Film, Dupont, Esko, Flint, Numex, Swedcut, and Tesa bringing the industry’s best innovation providers under one roof.

The enhanced anilox geometry will be showcased at Apex Booth #1048, September 13th through September 15th at the Donald E. Stephens Center.

GTT 2.0 is a patented engraving design, refined for more than 10 years to mitigate liquid turbulence. The proprietary Open Slalom Ink Channel engraving is streamlined to reduce ink spitting, mottling, pinholing, plugging, and dot gain. The enhanced design has been proven to save on ink usage and deliver higher opacity and print quality. The engraving is available in a variety of volume options and can be utilized in multiple print applications, from fine print to flood coat.
