Building for future success in spite of pandemic disruption

During the hardest months of the pandemic when the whole planet had to stop in front of the COVID-19 emergency, Apex Italy — the Italian branch of multinational anilox manufacturer Apex International — committed itself to a positive growth vision aimed at continued progress and improvement in the face of market uncertainty.

Located near Milan in Olgiate Olona (VA), Apex Italy recently completed its factory expansion begun during the pandemic which doubled the size of one of its production facilities, thus demonstrating an agile, strategic response to market demands and opportunities. This increase in Apex production capacity comes at a time when the flexo industry seeks higher quality, reliability, and efficiency in its supply chains — which Apex provides with its award-winning ink metering products.

Beyond capital production expansion, Apex is proud to join forces for wider commercial opportunities with new regional and national sales agents and representatives: 

• In Greece and Albania, Apex welcomes partnership with legendary flexo agent Nicos Stathoudakis of Navi Technology. Nicos has been collaborating with Apex for years, and in Greece he represents many of the most important companies in the world of flexo.
• In the former Yugoslavia, the Apex sales network has been enriched thanks to the addition of two new agents, Mr. Samo Sketa and Mr. Sasa Filipovic of the company ISI D.o.o. They provide professional service not simply from a commercial point of view, but also from the technical side. In the flexible packaging, label, offset, and corrugated markets, Mr. Sketa and Mr. Filipovic offer 360° coverage in the Balkan area.
• In Italy, Apex continues its long-standing collaboration with Heidelberg Italy, formalizing a sales representation contract for the entire Italian offset market beginning in mid-September. An early-summer meeting with the sales force of Heidelberg Italy resulted in this close-knit collaboration that brings to Italian offset printers a seamless opportunity to employ Apex quality anilox coating rolls in their presses.
• In Southern Italy, Apex is proud to announce a new collaboration with well-known packaging expert Mr. Giovanni Baiano. Already collaborating with the flexo industry’s highest-quality brands, Mr. Baiano now brings Apex products to his area of influence.
